There are 3 major types of thermal switches in plastic housing with switching temperatures from 40° to 150°C. Options for termination are solid or insulated lead wires in various lengths, but the standard is 100 mm.
Temperature sensitive
The most common type reacts to temperature alone: P 8 + UP 62
Temperature sensitive + self-holding
As P 8, but with both additional self-holding device, and a further circuit which is sensitive to increases in the current: Y 8
Temperature sensitive + self-holding + current sensitive
As P 8, but with additional self-holding device: Q 8
